When I fall in love

To Rochester, for a wonderful wedding at the Corn Exchange. The theme was sweeties! With 300 guests and a budget to stick to, this clever couple decided to put candy coloured flowers on every other table, and wonderful ice cream bowls full of sweeties in the other! What with mirrored tiles, silver candelabra, fairy lights and ivy trails, the whole thing was an amazing masterclass on how to dress a massive venue without spending a king's ransom. There were anemones, ranunculus and pretty pink tulips in sweet little jam jars, matching the home made chutney and Kentish apple juice which the guests took home as favours. Bare ledges were dressed with spring flowers in old kitchen storage jars, and the huge banisters were coiled around with ivy and twinkly lights. Magic!
This month you can find my ugly mug and one of my creations in the illustrious pages of none other than BBC Gardener's World Magazine! http://www.gardenersworld.com/magazine/ Mine is the green and purple bouquet. It's an article on growing your own cut flowers, and using them to make your own wedding bouquet, if you're feeling brave!
