And so farewell

For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,

And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.

- Algernon Charles Swinburne
Doing funeral flowers is always a tremendous honour. If ever there was a time to turn your back on sombre, formal flowers I really think a funeral is it. The flowers should be as natural, cheerful, scented and lovely as possible. Just breathing in the smell of all the narcissi above was enough to remind me that, no matter how bleak things are, Spring is just around the corner.
